for the position of

Area Team Leader (District Manager)

CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

COMPENSATION RANGE: $90,000 – $120,000, inclusive of base salary plus bonus

We serve hospitality first, tacos second. The Area Team Leader (ATL) will report to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and should embody HomeState’s culture, mission, and core values. 

The ATL will drive HomeState’s vision to redefine casual dining by breaking down barriers of access to high quality food and caring hospitality at an affordable price point. The ATL is expected to operate at a high level of excellence and will inspire, encourage and develop all those who report to them. The ATL will lead and develop store level managers to ensure they meet their goals in many areas including, but not limited to hospitality, budgets, hiring, training, scheduling, and adherence to procedures, HR compliance, sanitation and safety. The ATL is responsible to oversee the assigned restaurants day-to-day operations, including succession planning and ensuring all team members are receiving support. The expectation of the ATL is to maintain a presence at each restaurant, and to be a resource for managers and all team members. Most importantly, an ATL will create nurturing restaurant environments where innovative ideas flourish.

Experience

* 3-5 years of commensurate experience, preferably in a high-volume, multi-unit, limited service, growing restaurant concept.

Requirements

* Excellent communication, supervisory, and organizational skills required; must be strategic, self-motivated, agile and resilient in a fast paced business environment.
* Strong communication, organizational, problem solving and leadership skills
* Kind, personable, servant nature, and enthusiastic.
* Must be computer literate.
* Availability to work a minimum of five days per week. Extended hours and/or a sixth day may occasionally be required. Weekends, day shifts and evening shifts may be required.
* Must maintain regular, predictable attendance, which includes attendance at all scheduled shifts, training and meetings.

Physical Requirements

* Ability to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time (6 or more hours per shift, excluding break times).
* Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 30 pounds (examples include beverage cambros, ice buckets, tray of food & drinks, and taking out the trash).
* Ability to frequently bend and reach overhead (examples include stocking to-go supplies and dusting retail shelves).
* Ability to recognize, perceive, communicate and/or comprehend directions and spatial cues as expected in a restaurant (examples include “behind” and “corner”)
* Must possess dexterity to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects (examples include mopping, scooping ice, using a stapler or squeeze bottle.)
* Ability to regularly move around the restaurant from guests areas to kitchen areas.
* Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
* May be required to occasionally work in outdoor weather conditions (such as in the patio dining areas).
